Tony makes everyone look good. I mean, what was I thinking with those pants?
This is what I do on Thursday nights.
"People who actually work in the city, and I’m talking about normal people, like teachers and policeman and firemen and city workers and shop-owners—they can’t live here.
They can’t live here because this place has been overrun by crazy money that’s being tossed around like sacks of bananas to people who are ‘solving’ shit that doesn’t solve any real problem for any real human being except coming up with shit like $150 smoke detectors for rich people. And it’s tuned what used to be a fucking magnificent city into a bedroom community for the Peninsula.”
Unless you’re blessed with peers who don’t talk about the weather, you probably heard about the snow that took New England by … storm. Snowstorm, see?
So, this is the new year. And yes, I am listening to Death Cab For Cutie right now. That song has been stuck in my head for the past 24 hours. It’s hardly my favorite song of theirs which is probably the most annoying part. Anyway. Upon reflection, 2013 really wasn’t a great year for me. I lost love, I lost some sanity, and I lost friends and family. All that grief can really weigh on a person, so I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my time away from San Francisco this last week.
